Job summary

Republic Services is offering a Technician Apprenticeship program to train an entry-level technician over two years. The program combines tuition-free training at the Technical Institute in Dallas, TX with hands-on, on-the-job experience across our national network.

As an apprentice, you will learn electrical and mechanical systems, HVAC, hydraulics, and preventive maintenance while being mentored and prepared for a Level C Technician role upon graduation.

Qualifications

• Two-year Technician Apprenticeship program with paid training.
• Strong interest in vehicle engineering and safety.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights/weekends/holidays.
• Willingness to travel to Dallas for nine weeks of in-person training.

Responsibilities

• Learn electrical diagnosis and starting/charging system diagnosis.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment.
• Receive mentorship and complete milestones toward Apprentice certification.
• Advance toward Level C Technician after graduation.
