Job summary

Republic Services offers a Technician Apprenticeship that trains entry-level technicians over two years, starting with nine weeks of paid training in Dallas, TX. The program leads to an Apprentice certification and progression to a Level C Technician while supporting a long-term career at Republic Services.

Participants will gain hands-on experience in electrical, air systems, hydraulics, and preventive maintenance, with mentorship and housing subsidies during training and a guaranteed full-time

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mechanical interest and basic diagnostic abilities.
• Willingness to participate in a structured two-year apprenticeship.
• Flexibility to travel for training and staggered shifts.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a two-year paid apprenticeship focused on diesel and non-diesel fleet maintenance.
• Complete hands-on training at Republic Services Technical Institute and on-the-job training.
• Advance through program milestones toward technician certification.
