Job summary

Republic Services is offering a Technician Apprentice path designed to train entry-level technicians over two years, starting with nine weeks of paid training in Dallas, TX, followed by extensive on-the-job training across the company-wide network.

Apprentices will learn electrical diagnosis, HVAC, air systems, hydraulics, and wheel-end maintenance, with mentorship and potential progression to Level C Technician as milestones are met.

Qualifications

• Willingness to participate in a two-year apprenticeship training program.
• Ability to work a schedule that may include nights, weekends or holidays.
• Commitment to Republic Services values: safety, ethics and respect.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment.
• Gain hands-on experience under mentorship and on-the-job training.
• Develop knowledge of electrical, air, hydraulics and wheel-end systems.
• Progress through apprenticeship milestones toward certification as a Republic Services technician.
