Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Diesel Technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy duty trucks and trailers. The role emphasizes safe, efficient service within company standards and offers the chance to work in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, repair planning with the Service Advisor, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace while promoting TA services during inspections.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of acceptable trade school or manufacturer’s technical school, or previous mechanic experience.
• Willingness to expand professional knowledge via education and training programs.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy duty trucks and trailers.
• Perform diagnostic testing and communicate repair plans to Service Advisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Assist with recommendations for TA services during inspections.
