Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops and Country Stores offers a Diesel Apprentice program where you can start with no professional experience and be trained on electrical, HVAC, wheel end, air systems and diagnostics. You’ll assist customers with roadside services, learn preventative maintenance, and work a rotating day/night schedule while maintaining safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Learn electrical diagnostics and repairs
• Learn air conditioning & heating diagnostics and repairs
• Wheel end assembly diagnostics and repairs
• Air system diagnostics and repairs
• Air brakes diagnostics and repairs
• Charging system diagnostics and repairs
• Basic computer diagnostics and auxiliary component replacement
• Parts lookup and acquisition

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with roadside services
• Learn preventative maintenance services
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters
• Always put the safety and satisfaction of your customers first, complying with company safety policies & procedures
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation (paid by Love’s)
