Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops is hiring Diesel Apprentices to work in a fast-paced environment alongside customers and drivers. No professional experience is required—we will teach you if you are mechanically inclined.

You will learn roadside services and preventative maintenance while interacting with customers to make their travels safer and easier. Responsibilities include diagnostics and repairs across electrical, air conditioning, wheel end, air system, and charging systems, plus parts lookup,

Qualifications

• No professional experience required; mechanical inclination preferred.
• Physical ability to lift and move 75+ pounds and work in varied temperatures.
• Commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
• Willingness to work a rotating day/night schedule.
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with roadside services.
• Learn preventative maintenance services.
• Electrical diagnostics and repairs.
• Air conditioning & heating diagnostics and repairs.
• Wheel end assembly diagnostics and repairs.
• Air system diagnostics and repairs.
• Air brakes diagnostics and repairs.
• Charging system diagnostics and repairs.
• Basic computer diagnostics and auxiliary component replacement.
• Parts lookup and acquisition.
• Follow safety policies and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Rotate between day and night schedule as needed.
• Obtain a medical card through DOT (paid by Love's).
• Move and lift 75+ pounds and work in varied temperatures.
