Job summary

A. Duie Pyle in Southington, CT is looking for an aspiring Diesel Mechanic to start as a Diesel Technician Apprentice. You will receive structured training, mentor guidance, and hands-on experience on our trucks and trailers, with a clear path to becoming a Diesel Technician.

You’ll train alongside experienced technicians, perform preventive maintenance, and develop skills toward a full technician role. This paid program offers growth within a respected, family-owned logistics leader.

Qualifications

• A recent graduate or active student enrolled in a post-secondary program in Diesel Technology.
• Own a set of basic tools and be prepared for hands-on work.
• Willingness to learn and grow abilities.
• Able to work all three shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on Class 8 trucks.
• Troubleshoot brakes, air systems, electrical components, and suspensions.
• Diagnose and repair engine, electrical, and exhaust after-treatment systems.
• Inspect and replace general components as required.

As a Diesel Technician Apprentice, you will participate in a training program designed to build the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in diesel maintenance. Working alongside experience technicians. you will receive structured training, personalized mentorship, and hands-one experience service Pyle's fleet. Upon successful completion of the program, you will advance to a Diesel Technician role, performing preventive maintenance and repairs on our trucks and trailers.
