Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops invites you to join our Apprentice Program where you’ll learn electrical, diagnostic, and repair basics while assisting customers on the road. This entry‑level role offers hands-on training, safety‑driven culture, and opportunities to grow with a nationwide network.

You’ll gain skills in electrical and air systems diagnostics, wheel end assembly, air conditioning/heating diagnostics, and basic computer diagnostics.

Qualifications

• No professional experience required – we will teach you.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with roadside services
• Learn preventative maintenance services
• Move and lift 75+ pounds in varying temperatures
• Follow safety policies to ensure customer safety and satisfaction
• Work a rotating day/night schedule as needed
• Possess a valid DOT medical card (paid by Love’s) if required

Diesel Apprentices work in a fast-paced environment and maintain clean places with friendly faces. You will interact with customers & drivers from all over, making their travels and their day better. Are you mechanically inclined with no professional experience? No problem!We will teach you!

In The Apprentice Program, You Can Expect To Learn:

• Electrical diagnostics and repairs
• Air conditioning & heating diagnostics and repairs
• Wheel end assembly diagnostics and repairs
• Air system diagnostics and repairs
• Air brakes diagnostics and repairs
• Charging system diagnostics and repairs
• Basic computer diagnostics and auxiliary component replacement
• Parts lookup and acquisition

Job Functions:

• Assist customers with roadside services
• Learn preventative maintenance services
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters. Ability to work in various temperatures.
• Always put the safety and satisfaction of your customers first, complying with company safety policies & procedures.
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation. (paid by Love’s)
