Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops in Luverne, MN is seeking Diesel Apprentices to work in a fast-paced environment, assisting with roadside services and learning preventative maintenance. You will interact with customers and drivers from across the region, and no professional experience is required—we will teach you!

Apprentices will learn electrical, air conditioning/heating, wheel end, air system, air brake, charging system, basic computer diagnostics, and parts lookup.

Qualifications

• No professional experience required; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with roadside services and preventative maintenance learning.
• Move and lift up to 75 pounds in close quarters.
• Work in varying temperatures while upholding safety policies.
• Rotate between day and night shifts as needed.

Apprenticeship Training

• Electrical diagnostics and repairs
• Air conditioning & heating diagnostics and repairs
• Wheel end assembly diagnostics and repairs
• Air system diagnostics and repairs
• Air brakes diagnostics and repairs
• Charging system diagnostics and repairs
• Basic computer diagnostics and auxiliary component replacement
• Parts lookup and acquisition

Job Functions

Assist customers with roadside services and learn preventative maintenance services. Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters. Ability to work in various temperatures. Always put the safety and satisfaction of your customers first, complying with company safety policies & procedures. Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed. Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation (paid by Love’s).
