Job summary

Penske is hiring a Technician in Delaware, OH to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You will use Penske’s tools to diagnose and repair, with a focus on safety and reliability. Training is provided to grow within the role.

This full-time position offers a 2nd shift (Sunday-Thursday, 3:00pm-11:30pm) with a $2.00 per hour shift premium, competitive pay, and strong benefits. A valid driver’s license and DOT safety awareness are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to solve problems and use basic shop tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and outdoors.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to follow instructions.
• The role requires compliance with Penske safety, DOT and OSHA policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles to ensure safety for customers.
• Log, research and complete repairs using Penske tools and diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance including tires, lubrication, and some electrical and cooling system work.
• Collaborate with a manager to learn new skills through Penske training.
• Tackle additional projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
