Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is hiring a Technician in Springfield, OH. You will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a wide fleet, using Penske tools for diagnostics and repairs.

The role offers growth opportunities in a supportive, safety-driven environment. Whether new to the field or with some repair experience, you’ll join experienced supervisors and masters to learn Penske processes, with access to advanced maintenance tech and OEM certification programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years automotive/diesel repair experience preferred
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to solve problems and use tools
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Team player and able to work outdoors
• Basic computer skills
• Understand and comply with Penske safety policies (DOT/OSHA)
• Regular, predictable attendance required
• DOT and FMCSA compliance and safety requirements for driving duties

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure vehicle safety for customers
• Use Penske tools to log, research, and complete repairs including diagnostics
• Perform preventative maintenance and basic component work on gas/diesel engines
• Learn new skills through Penske technician training and coaching
• Take on additional tasks as assigned by supervisor
