Job summary

DeVivo Companies is hiring a full-time 2nd shift (Noon – 8 PM) technician at our Buffalo, NY location. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on medium and heavy-duty vehicles, and complete repair orders in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical training is required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in automotive, truck or bus repair.
• Proficient with computer operation/usage.
• Own and maintain the proper hand tools to perform job functions.
• Valid driver’s license.
• New York State vehicle inspector certificate preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of medium and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Performs diagnostic and repair work on all types of vehicles.
• Follow established technical and administrative processes; complete repair orders and parts usage forms.
• Communicate effectively with supervisor, team members and customers.
• Remain current on technical and regulatory requirements.
• Perform road service calls as required.
