Modern Disposal Services in Buffalo, NY is seeking a skilled Truck Technician for the second shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM). The role focuses on repairing diesel and non-diesel trucks, chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, air brakes, HVAC, and more, under direct supervision.

Candidates should have a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred) and be able to work as part of a team, manage multiple tasks, and maintain safety and efficiency in a busy shop environment.

Qualifications

• Experienced in maintenance on Class 1-8 vehicles.
• CDL preferred / valid driver’s license.
• Able to work well in a team and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain chassis components.
• Service refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems; air and hydraulic brakes.
• Perform engine repair and maintenance.
• Service suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems.
• Maintain heating and air conditioning.
• Repair and maintain air brakes.
• Provide road service as needed to return equipment to operation.
• Identify malfunction sources using diagnostic tools.
• Complete required training and maintain a clean work area.
