Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational/Technical certification preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas/diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance.
• Two+ years of related training/experience preferred.
• CDL CLASS A preferred; ability to obtain CDL within 6 months.
• Must pass drug test, DOT physical and road tests; background checks as required.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Conducts standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Performs preventive maintenance and component repairs.
• Diagnoses mechanical/electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Identifies root causes and completes repairs as needed.
• Interacts with drivers to determine issues and document tasks.
• Operates within safety and regulatory guidelines.
