Description

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician – 2nd Shift to join our team specializing in engine repairs for our Distribution Business (Louisville, KY).

Hours: 4-10 hour shifts, Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
• Engage in ongoing development and certifications on new and existing Cummins products
• Maintain own tools

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Intermediate skills: Complete complex internal engine repairs, perform engine overhauls with limited supervision
• Advanced skills: Troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools, handle larger engine rebuilds, mentor junior technicians

Education, Licenses, Certifications

• Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (preferred)
• Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution
• Locally Valid Driving Permit (preferred)

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

Minimal workshop experience required; basic knowledge of engine products preferred.

Qualifications

• Trade school or equivalent background
• Team player
• Diesel engine experience and repair/maintenance skills are a plus

Additional Requirements

• Subject to Federal Transit Administration drug testing
• Valid license required; must be 18+ with 2 years driving experience
• Clean 5-year motor vehicle report; CDL may be required upon hire
• Federal law: CDL holders must be 21+
