Job summary

DHT is seeking skilled Diesel Technicians for 2nd and 3rd shifts at our Reese, MI facility. You’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain Class 8 trucks and trailers, using diagnostics tools to keep equipment moving.

This is full-time, year-round work with opportunities for skilled technicians to advance and take on more complex repairs. We value dependable, safety-minded team players who can work independently or with minimal supervision, and who bring hands-on experience with engine, drivetrain,

Qualifications

Experience in diesel repair and maintenance of Class 8 trucks and trailers is required.
Must be able to troubleshoot electrical/electronic systems and use diagnostic tools.
Familiarity with DiagnosticLink, Cummins INSITE, Bendix or WABCO is a plus.
Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift and maintain high safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Class 8 trucks and trailers.
Perform engine, drivetrain, and transmission repairs.
Diagnose electrical and electronic system problems.
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair air and brake systems.
Perform preventive maintenance and DOT-related inspections.

DHT is hiring Mid-Level and Skilled Diesel Technicians for 2nd and 3rd shift at our Reese, Michigan maintenance facility.

We're looking for dependable, experienced technicians who know their way around Class 8 trucks and trailers and take pride in diagnosing problems, making quality repairs, and keeping equipment moving.

Whether you're a solid mid-level technician looking to develop your diagnostic skills or an experienced technician comfortable tackling complex repairs, we have opportunities for you.

What You'll Do

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Class 8 trucks and trailers
Perform engine, drivetrain, and transmission repairs
Diagnose electrical and electronic system problems
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair air and brake systems
Perform preventive maintenance and DOT-related inspections
Use diagnostic software and equipment to identify faults and determine necessary repairs
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical failures
Perform truck and trailer maintenance and repairs
Respond to road service and emergency repair needs as assigned
Complete repairs safely, accurately, and efficiently
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

What We're Looking For

Previous hands-on diesel repair experience
Experience maintaining and repairing Class 8 trucks and/or trailers
Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities
Electrical and electronic diagnostic experience appropriate to skill level
Familiarity with diagnostic software such as DiagnosticLink, Cummins INSITE, Bendix, or WABCO is a plus
Ability to work independently and make sound repair decisions within your experience level
Dependable attendance and strong work habits
Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift
