Qualifications

  • 5+ years of diesel/heavy-duty truck repair experience.
  • Experience with engines, transmissions, and drivetrain systems.
  • Experience with diagnostics tools and computer-based troubleshooting.
  • ASE certification preferred.
  • 608/609 certification preferred.
  • Must have own toolset.
  • Valid driver's license with clean record.
  • Ability to obtain CDL if required.
  • First shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (or 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM)
  • Independent work with potential mentoring responsibilities.
  • Ongoing OEM training and skill development.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs according to work orders and factory standards
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues
  • Inspect vehicles to determine safety and repair needs
  • Repair and replace engines, transmissions, driveline, and suspension components
  • Service braking systems (air and hydraulic)
  • Install major components including injectors, pistons, clutches, differentials, and more
  • Conduct road tests to verify repairs
  • Document all completed work and recommendations
  • Follow all safety and industry standards
  • Support efficiency and workflow planning in the shop
  • Assist in mentoring junior technicians when needed
  • Ongoing OEM training and skill development

Job Summary
