• Technician positions pay weekly
• Hourly pay: $32.30 per hour
• Sign-on bonus: Ryder pays $2,000 at 30 days and $2,000 at 90 days
• Certification bonus: $100 for each new ASE certification, up to $700

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or technical certifications preferred
• Basic tools required
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake, and tire work

• At least 2 years of classroom training and work experience preferred
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A, preferred

Note: You must be able to obtain a CDL within 6 months of hire, pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background checks.

• Vehicle maintenance and repair
• Standard vehicle and component inspections
• Preventive maintenance
• Diagnosing mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools
• Identifying root causes and performing repairs
• Interacting with customers/drivers to determine issues
• Using shop management systems and documentation
• Complying with safety and regulatory guidelines
• Supporting operations as needed
