Job summary

TranSource Truck & Equipment, Inc. is growing and currently hiring Diesel Technicians. The role involves inspecting, maintaining and repairing diesel equipment, including hydraulics, transmissions, and electrical systems.

Technicians troubleshoot issues reported by drivers/operators and provide prompt, customer-focused service. Field service calls require traveling to sites; strong diagnostic skills and a positive attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, transmissions, undercarriage, track systems and components, pneumatic, electrical and fuel systems.
• Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Positive attitude and desire to provide outstanding customer service.
• Computer, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance and repairs on various equipment including hydraulics, electrical, pneumatic and related systems.
• Carry out repairs and more complex maintenance to ensure proper functioning.
• Troubleshoot issues reported by drivers/operators and provide effective solutions.
• Respond promptly to customer needs to maximize value of work performed.
• Communicate job progress to supervisor and customer as needed.
• Complete service reports, order parts and maintain customer records.
• Field Technicians will be going out to service calls.

TranSource Truck & Equipment, Inc. is a growing company representing Mack Trucks, Volvo Trucks and Volvo Construction Equipment, along with being the Servicing Dealer for multiple other product lines that support the On Highway, Construction and Agriculture Industry.

Due to growth, we are currently looking to hire Diesel Technicians.

Technicians must be able to:

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance and repairs on various types of equipment, including but not limited to machinery, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems;
• Carrying out necessary repairs and conducting more complex repairs to ensure proper functioning;
• Troubleshooting and analyzing issues reported by drivers or operators, and providing effect solutions to address the problems;
• Respond promptly to customer needs in a positive, supportive and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed;
• Communicate job progress to supervisor and customer as needed;
• Complete service reports, order parts and maintain clear customer records;
• Field Technicians will be going out to service calls.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Two year technical degree and/or equivalent job experience in any of the above fields.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, transmissions, undercarriage, track systems and components, pneumatic, electrical and fuel systems.
• Previous experience working on Volvo equipment is a plus, but not required.
• Excellent diagnostic and trouble‑shooting skills.
• Positive attitude and desire to provide outstanding customer service.
• Computer, written and verbal communication skills.
