Job summary

Schneider in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Diesel Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections and repairs on tractors and trailers. The role includes second shift duties from 1:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Monday-Tuesday with every other weekend, in a full-time schedule. Responsibilities include performing PMs, annual inspections, repairs, and express services, while providing status updates to internal customers and ensuring quality workmanship.

Qualifications

  • Technical degree in diesel technology or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with diesel technician tasks and troubleshooting is valued.
  • Familiarity with computer-based diagnostics or fleet software helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Perform PMs, annual inspections and repairs on tractors and trailers.
  • Complete express services like tire changes, brake adjustments and minor electrical repairs.
  • Communicate status updates to internal customers.

Job overview
