Job summary

Schneider in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Diesel Technician for the third shift (6:30 p.m.–5:00 a.m., Wed–Fri and alternating weekends). You will perform PMs and repairs, handle annual inspections and basic electrical work, and provide updates to internal customers.

Strong diesel tech skills and own-tools are required. Responsibilities include servicing tractors and trailers, tire changes, brake adjustments, and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Technical degree in diesel technology or related field, or a minimum of one year of diesel technician experience.
  • Computer systems experience.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.

Schedule: Full time; Wednesday-Friday and every other weekend, 6:30 p.m.-5:00 a.m.


Job overview:

  • Non-exempt U.S. shop associates working weekend hours, receive an additional $0.65 per hour differential for hours worked. (Weekend hours worked between 9pm Friday – 5am Monday).
