Job summary

Hirschbach Motor Lines, LLC is seeking a Diesel Technician at our Memphis, TN shop to diagnose and repair our fleet, primarily Freightliner trucks. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose electrical issues, air brakes, suspension and after-treatment services.

You will record repairs, parts used, and warranty details while following safety and quality standards. Ongoing training with diesel technology and tools like Cummins Insite and Bendix will keep you sharp.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years of fleet maintenance experience or recent tech school graduate.
• Valid driver's license (and CDL A/B is a plus).
• Certifications (EPA 609, Cummins, Navistar, Daimler) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair fleet vehicles, primarily Freightliner trucks.
• Perform preventative maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, air brakes, suspension & steering, after-treatment service, charging systems, and A/C.
• Accurately record repairs, parts use, and warranty details.
• Follow safety and quality standards in every job.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with drivers and fleet management.
• Stay current with ongoing training in diesel technology via industry tools.
• Collaborate with teammates to solve tough problems.
• Take on other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

Diagnose and repair our fleet — primarily Freightliner trucks, plus Kenworth and Internationals

Perform preventative maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, air brakes, suspension & steering, after-treatment service, charging systems, and A/C

Accurately record repairs, parts use, and warranty details

Follow safety and quality standards in every job

Communicate clearly and professionally with drivers and fleet management

Stay sharp with ongoing training in the latest diesel technology (Diamond Logic Builder, Cummins Insite, Detroit Diagnostic Link, Bendix Acom, Wabco Toolbox, etc.)

Collaborate with teammates to solve tough problems

And take on other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

You’ll excel here if you bring:

Required

• 1-2+ years' experiencein fleet maintenance or recent tech school graduate
• Valid driver's license

Strongly Preferred

• Certifications (EPA 609, Cummins, Navistar, Daimler)
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools (Cummins Insite, DTNA, Bendix, etc.)

Nice to Have

• CDL A or B
