Job summary

A commercial truck dealership in Mediapolis, Iowa is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to keep trucks road-ready. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, conduct preventative maintenance, and perform repairs. Qualifications

  • 4+ years of related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record (CDL preferred).
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High School Diploma and/or GED.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Performing preventative maintenance and inspections.
  • Completing repairs ranging from minor fixes to major overhauls.
  • Disassembling and reassembling components accurately and efficiently.
  • Documenting work with clear, detailed service notes.
  • Using basic computer systems for work orders and diagnostics.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Wage: Non-exempt position. Aligned with Your Experience, Certifications, Education, and Skill Set

Work Hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM; Monday through Friday

What You’ll Do
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues
  • Performing preventative maintenance and inspections
