Job summary

NEXTRAN CORPORATION is actively seeking a Diesel Technician to join our team in Quincy, IL. This position involves diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues in medium- and heavy-duty trucks, conducting preventative maintenance, performing DOT inspections, and completing repairs ranging from routine service to major overhauls.

The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license. We offer competitive hourly pay ranging from $22 to $38 based on experience and certifications.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Hourly Pay: $22–$38, based on experience, certifications, education, and skill level.

Hours of Work: Monday through Friday; 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM with a 30 Min. Lunch

What You’ll Do

You’ll work on a variety of medium- and heavy-duty trucks, including:

• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues
• Performing preventative maintenance and DOT inspections
• Completing repairs from routine service to major overhauls
• Disassembling, repairing, and reassembling components accurately
• Documenting work clearly in service records
• Using basic computer systems for diagnostics and tracking
• Supporting overall shop operations as needed
• Other duties as assigned
