Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is seeking Diesel Technicians to join our team in a fast-paced environment, assisting customers and drivers to keep journeys moving. You will troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative maintenance on vehicles, while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Rotate between day and night shifts, with the potential to obtain a DOT medical card. Love's offers competitive pay, benefits, and growth opportunities in a national network.

Qualifications

• Must have strong mechanical aptitude and be able to troubleshoot repairable issues.
• Ability to work responsibly in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to move 75+ pounds and work in varying temperatures.
• Commitment to safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues including wheel-end, electrical, suspension, A/C, and engine components.
• Assist customers with roadside services.
• Provide preventative maintenance services.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Rotate between day and night shifts as required.
• Possess ability to obtain a DOT medical card (paid by Love's).

Job Functions:

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues that may include wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components


• Assist customers with roadside services


• Provide preventative maintenance services


• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters. Ability to work in various temperatures.


• Always put the safety and satisfaction of your customers first, complying with company safety policies & procedures.


• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.


• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation. (paid by Love's)
