Position Description

Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Experienced Mid-Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Macon, Georgia.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly Pay: $24.50 per hour
• Certification Bonus of $100 for each New ASE Certification Obtained up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus: Up to $500 every quarter
• Sign-On Bonus: $1250 at 30 days and $1250 at 90 days
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, Weekends OFF
• Hours: Second Shift 12:30 pm – 9:00 pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or Technical Certification preferred
• Basic tools required
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
• Two or more years of related experience preferred
• Valid CDL Class A preferred

Responsibilities

• Vehicle maintenance and repair
• Preventive and standard component inspections
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems
• Identify root causes and perform repairs
• Interact with customers/drivers
• Utilize shop management systems and documentation
• Follow safety and compliance guidelines

Additional Notes

This position requires the ability to drive Ryder vehicles, with requirements to obtain CDL within 6 months, pass drug tests, physical, road test, and background checks.
