Diesel Technician / Mechanic

Join the leader in the compact construction equipment industry. Bobcat of is well respected in our area, and we are currently searching for a Diesel Technician to join our team. Our Diesel Technicians play a key role in customer relations and service representation. We seek a candidate with a passion for helping customers and a can-do attitude to exceed expectations.

Position Details

Salary: $27.00-$30.00 Depending on Experience

Additional Incentives: Plus, an Efficiency Technician Bonus!

Work Environment: Climate-controlled bays

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm (No Weekends)

Essential Functions:

1. Conduct daily equipment and preventative maintenance inspections
2. Diagnose and repair all major systems on compact equipment, especially Bobcat line
3. Perform system rebuilds and overhauls
4. Welding
5. Collaborate effectively with Parts, Service, Sales, Rental teams
6. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor

Qualifications:

1. 5+ years' experience in heavy equipment service, including skid steers, excavators, etc.
2. Strong mechanical skills in diagnostics, diesel mechanics, hydraulics, electrical
3. Self-motivated, results-oriented, organized, energetic, able to handle multiple projects, with computer skills

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and extreme conditions indoors and outdoors. Noise levels can be loud.

• Must communicate effectively with customers
• Active position requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, laying, crawling, climbing
• Ability to lift/move items over 50 lbs
• Physical strain on muscles, joints, tendons
• Vision requirements: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment
