Qualifications

Responsibilities :

• Perform quality repairs and maintenance on heavy trucks and diesel engines, following manufacturer procedures or accepted industry practices.
• Accurately complete all paperwork, including repair details on work orders and information for inspections.
• Adhere to all safety standards and regulations.
• Conduct repairs, maintenance, installations, replacements, preventative maintenance, and diagnostics on various makes and models of semi-trailers efficiently, professionally, and safely.
• Maintain current training and certifications as required by OEM and equipment vendors.

Job Requirements :

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 3 years of diesel repair and maintenance experience in a heavy truck or fleet dealership or shop environment.
• Factory-trained certifications are preferred.
• Experience with international manufacturers is a plus.
• Own tools to work on all systems of diesel equipment.
• Knowledge of A/C systems, brake systems, emission systems, air systems, and diagnostics/troubleshooting of diesel engines.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use diagnostic programs.
• Possess or be capable of obtaining a CDL license.
• Ability to pass a drug test, background check, and MVR check.

Required Experience :

• Minimum of 3 years as a Diesel Technician / Heavy Truck Trailer Mechanic.
• Experience with trailer mechanics, ASE electrical and air brake system certifications, and CDL preferred.
• Welding certification is a plus.
