Job description

Overview

Monarch Power supply is looking for talented Field Service Diesel Technician for our Jersey Village, Texas location. This position will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of electric, diesel, and gasoline industrial trucks and batteries and/or construction and aerial equipment.

Monarch Power Supply is the source for Perkins engines, parts, and service. Perkins engines offer top value and can replace most engine brands to repower your equipment for improved productivity and performance.

Wages

Starting wage will depend on experience and education: $33.00 - $39.99

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality repair services on construction equipment in order to meet customer needs in a responsive, friendly, educated, and timely manner.
  • Identify problems with mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, and electrical systems and execute solutions.
  • Participate in Service Training programs for the development of skills and knowledge.
  • Support the teardown and initial inspection of engine assemblies, documenting any visible wear or damage.
  • Help organize and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Document all repairs and testing for customer and warranty repairs.
  • Learn and adhere to safety protocols and company policies during all stages of the rebuild process.
  • Work in a neat, orderly, and safe manner, constantly seeking to improve methods and promote the safety of others.
  • Complete repairs and rebuilds on engine products in the field.
  • Develop productive customer relations and ensure prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
  • Accurately troubleshoot and diagnose routine problems with customer's equipment.
  • Perform any other duties as outlined by the Service Supervisor and/or management of the company.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
  • Dependable and trustworthy.
  • Ability to take care of the customers' needs while following company procedures.
  • 3-5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
  • Knowledge of construction equipment and strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines.
  • Must own tools applicable to position.

Safety

  • Will provide and use their own tools that are necessary to complete the job requirements. Necessary tools listed in the “Essential Tools” section.
  • Attend training sessions as required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, squat, stand, and reach as necessary.
