Knife River is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic in Grand Forks, ND. The role focuses on repairing and maintaining heavy machinery, including diesel and gasoline engines, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance. Typical schedule is Mon-Fri, with opportunities for overtime and occasional Saturday work.
Minimum requirements include 2+ years on heavy equipment, valid licensure, and a GED or equivalent. Preferred CDL endorsements, medical card, and mechanic certifications.

Mechanic repairs and maintains trucks, bulldozers, scrapers, wheel and track loaders, trench diggers, asphalt equipment as well as any other type of machinery that may be brought in for maintenance and/or repairs.
Typical schedule is Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM with one Saturday per month. Schedule may vary due to weather and customer demand.
Starting at $26.00 per hour and up depending on experience.
