Job summary

DeVivo Companies currently seeks full-time Automotive Technicians for our brand-new East Hartford, CT location. The role covers preventive maintenance, diagnostic and repair work, paperwork, and occasional road calls in a busy shop environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or technical training, experience in automotive/truck/bus repair, a driver’s license, and CDL eligibility. ASE certifications and strong English communication are preferred, with opportunities for overtime and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical school background required or equivalent.
• Experience or training in automotive, truck, or bus repair.
• Valid driver's license and CDL eligibility or holding.
• ASE certifications preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of vehicles.
• Performs diagnostic and repair work.
• Completes required paperwork related to repair orders and parts usage.
• Makes road calls as needed.
• Owns and maintains proper hand tools.
• Follows supervisor directions and shop foreman instructions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of vehicles
• Performs diagnostic and repair work
• Completes required paperwork with regards to repair orders and parts usage
• Makes road calls
• Own and maintain the proper hand tools to perform job functions
• Follow orders of the shop foreman or other supervisor

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma, technical school or equivalent
• Training or experience in the field of automotive, truck or bus repair
• Driver’s license
• Hold, or be eligible to, hold a CDL license
• Hold, or be willing to work toward, ASE certifications
• Adequate English verbal and written communication skills
• Physical strength and conditioning to perform all required tasks
