Job summary

Cumberland International Trucks in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to join our service team. You will perform diesel truck repairs including brakes, hydraulics, preventative maintenance, and engine work in a customer-first environment.

The position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety, and continuous growth with opportunities for training and advancement. Veterans are welcomed and supported in career development.

Qualifications

• Experience with International Truck engines required.
• ASE certifications and OEM training are a plus but training can be provided.
• Must have a valid driver's license with the ability to obtain a CDL.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders and plan tasks after assessing issues.
• Run diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpret results.
• Inspect vehicle systems and repair or replace transmissions, brakes, engines and related parts.
• Test drive repaired vehicles to gauge performance and perform oil changes, alignments and checks.
• Maintain records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles.

Qualifications

• Experience with International Truck engines required-Cummins, Detroit, and CAT experience is a plus
• ASE certifications & OEM training are a plus, but we are willing to train you!
• Must be a team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer and service team
• Must conduct oneself in a professional manner
• Must have a valid driver's license with the ability to obtain a CDL license

Responsibilities

• Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines & interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions
• Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering & electrical /Repairing or replacing transmissions, brakes, engines &other associated parts
• Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance /Completing oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment & brake checks
• Maintaining records of parts inventory & serviced vehicles
