Job summary

Cumberland International Trucks of FL, LLC in Daytona Beach, FL seeks an experienced Diesel Technician to join our service team. Bring 3+ years of diesel engine experience, working on International engines, Cummins, Detroit, or CAT; ASE certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of diesel truck repair experience, preferably on International engines.
• ASE certifications and OEM training are a plus; training available.
• Must be a team player with strong commitment to customer service.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain CDL.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders and plan repairs after diagnosing issues.
• Run diagnostics on diesel engines and interpret results.
• Inspect suspensions, steering, electrical systems; repair/replace transmissions and brakes.
• Perform oil changes, wheel balancing, alignments, brake checks.
• Maintain records of parts and serviced vehicles.

Qualifications

• Experience with International Truck engines required- Cummins, Detroit, and CAT experience is a plus
• ASE certifications & OEM training are a plus, but we are willing to train you!
• Must be a team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer and service team
• Must conduct oneself in a professional manner
• Must have a valid driver's license with the ability to obtain a CDL license

Responsibilities

• Reviewing work orders to evaluate necessary tasks / Preparing plans after fully assessing issues
• Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines & interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions
• Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering & electrical / Repairing or replacing transmissions, brakes, engines & other associated parts
• Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance / Completing oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment & brake checks
• Maintaining records of parts inventory & serviced vehicles
