Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops in Comfort, TX is seeking a Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair diesel engines and related systems in a fast-paced, customer‑facing setting. You will assist with roadside services and perform preventative maintenance to keep fleets and drivers safe on the road.

The role requires the ability to lift 75+ pounds, work rotating day/night shifts, and may involve DOT medical card requirements (provided by Love’s).

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel engine components.
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance and basic diagnostics.
• Comfort with lifting 75+ pounds and working in varied temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues (wheel-end, electrical, suspensions, A/C, engine components).
• Assist customers with roadside services.
• Provide preventative maintenance services.
• Move and lift 75+ pounds, work in close quarters and varied temperatures.
• Prioritize safety and customer satisfaction per company policies.
• Work a rotating day/night schedule as needed.
• Obtain a medical card through the DOT (paid by Love’s).

Job Functions:

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues that may include wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components
• Assist customers with roadside services
• Provide preventative maintenance services
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters. Ability to work in various temperatures.
• Always put the safety and satisfaction of your customers first, complying with company safety policies & procedures.
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation. (paid by Love’s)
