Parks Chevrolet Charlotte is seeking an Automotive Technician to perform repairs and diagnostics per dealership and factory standards. You will diagnose malfunctions, repair efficiently, complete MPI reports, and keep repair orders current using AutoPoint.

The role requires lifting up to 75 pounds, following safety policies, and communicating with the parts department to obtain needed parts. Candidates should have diesel engine repair training or equivalent experience, automotive technician

Formación

• Diesel engine repair training or equivalent experience.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds with or without assistance.
• Follow safety policies and wear required PPE.
• ASE certification is preferred.
• Automotive Technician Experience Required.
• Proven Fixed Right Survey Scores.

Responsabilidades

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Complete MPI Inspection report and send findings to the service advisor.
• Executes the service SOP at all times.
• Utilizes AutoPoint and keeps all repair orders up to date.
• Communicate with parts department via AutoPoint to obtain needed parts.
• Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
• Notify the service advisor if additional work is not needed or required.
• Document work performed.
• Road-test vehicles when required.

Job Responsibilities:Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standardsDiagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repairComplete MPI Inspection report and send findings to the service advisorExecutes the service SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) at all times.Utilizes AutoPoint and keeps all repair orders up to date and strives to maintain at least two recommendations per vehicle.Utilize AutoPoint to communicate with parts department to obtain needed partsExamine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.Notify the service advisor immediately if additional work outlined is not needed or requiredNotify the service advisor immediately if repairs cannot be completed within the time promisedDocument work performedRoad-test vehicles when required or refer to the test technicianKeep abreast of factory technical bulletinsEnsure that customer vehicles are kept cleanKeep shop area neat and clean and be able to account for all dealership-owned tools at all timesUnderstand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastesMust follow all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report any accidents to a manager or supervisorJob Qualifications:Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information18 years of age or older.Diesel Engine repair training or equivalent experience.Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds with or without assistance.Follow safety policies and procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment necessary for the job in a safe manner.ASE certification is preferredAutomotive Technician Experience RequiredProven Fixed Right Survey Scores
