Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is hiring Diesel Technicians in Illinois to diagnose and repair light mechanical issues, assist with roadside services, and perform preventative maintenance in a fast-paced environment with friendly customers and drivers.

You will lift up to 75 pounds, work in varied temperatures, follow safety policies, and participate in a rotating day/night schedule. Company funds DOT medical card and offers robust benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing light mechanical issues.
• Ability to assist customers with roadside services.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks.
• Commitment to safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues that may include wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components
• Assist customers with roadside services
• Provide preventative maintenance services
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters. Ability to work in various temperatures.
• Always put the safety and satisfaction of your customers first, complying with company safety policies & procedures.
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation. (paid by Love’s)
