Job summary

DeVivo Companies in East Hartford, CT is seeking full-time automotive technicians to performs inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of vehicles. Candidates should possess a high school diploma or technical training and a valid driver’s license, with CDL and ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of vehicles.
• Performs diagnostic and repair work.
• Completes required paperwork with regards to repair orders and parts usage.
• Makes road calls.
• Own and maintain the proper hand tools to perform job functions.
• Follow orders of the shop foreman or other supervisor.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma, technical school or equivalent
• Training or experience in the field of automotive, truck or bus repair
• Driver’s license
• Hold, or be eligible to, hold a CDL license
• Hold, or be willing to work toward, ASE certifications
• Adequate English verbal and written communication skills
• Physical strength and conditioning to perform all required tasks
