Job summary

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is hiring a Diesel Fleet Technician in Bridgeton, MO for the 1st shift. You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks, including welding and diagnostics, to keep the fleet safe and productive.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years of diesel mechanic experience, own tools, a valid Driver's License, and steel-toe boots. A pre-employment physical and drug screen are required; pay is $28.84-$32.36 per hour plus

• Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform bending, climbing, and stooping.
• Must have own tools and a valid Driver's License.
• Must have own steel-toe boots.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and perform repairs, including welding.
• Run diagnostics on the fleet and perform electrical, suspension, and airbrake work.
• Work on dump trucks, aerial trucks, street sweepers, and other medium/heavy duty vehicles.
• Possibly operate diesel equipment in/out of the shop or parking lot.
• Adhere to safety policies and document work for invoicing and records.

Diesel/Fleet Mechanic

Shift: M-F 1stShift Monday- Friday

Pay: $28.84 -$32.36 P/H depending on experience

Diesel Fleet Technician Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance on heavy-duty and basic maintenance and repairs, including, but not limited to welding.
• Perform preventative maintenance, electrical, suspension, and airbrake repairs, and run diagnostics on the fleet.
• Will be working on dump trucks, aerial trucks, street sweepers and other medium/heavy duty trucks.
• May need to drive diesel equipment in/out of the shop or through facility parking lot.
• Work in a safe manner, per company, local, state and federal policies and regulations.
• Ability to speak, write and comprehend the English language in accordance with all safety-related regulations and product specifications to avoid product contaminations in addition to processing paperwork for invoicing, billing, etc.
• Other duties as required to support operations.
