Position Summary

As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of predominantly PACCAR engines and Peterbilt/Kenworth trucks. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in all aspects of diesel engine repair and possess excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues in PACCAR diesel engines and Peterbilt/ Kenworth chassis.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance services, including oil changes, filter replacements, DOT inspections, brake replacements, etc.
  • Utilize troubleshooting trees/schematics to identify failures and document steps taken that resulted in the repair completed.
  • Conduct comprehensive inspections to assess the condition of engines and recommend necessary repairs.
  • Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Maintain detailed records of services performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
  • Stay up to date with the latest PACCAR diagnostic tools, software updates, and repair techniques.
  • Comply with all safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
