• Hourly Pay: $38.30 per hour
• Certification Bonus of $100 for each New ASE Certification Obtained up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus: Ryder Pays you up to $500 Every Quarter - Four Times Per Year
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, Weekends OFF
• Hours: Second Shift Monday - Thursday 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm, Friday 12:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or Technical Certification, Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred
• Basic tools, required
• Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including:
• Routine preventative maintenance, such as oil changes, brake and tire work
• Diagnostics and repairs, including AC, electrical systems
• Major engine repairs, diesel after treatment, or automotive fuel injection repairs, required
• Four (4) years or more relevant work experience, preferred
• Must be able to read codes and instructions on the computer
• Computer experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, internet, and related systems
• Minimum tool requirement
• Experience with computerized maintenance programs for reporting and communication

Additional Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License and ability to meet Ryder's driving qualifications
• Minimum Tech II to Tech IV qualifications plus 6 months supervisory or training experience
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations
• Proficiency in SMO, SBT, payroll system, warranty recovery, and employee handbook
• Understanding of Unit utilization procedures

• Driving Requirements:
  • Must obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
  • Pass Ryder Drug Test, DOT physical, road test, background check, and motor vehicle check

Internal Candidates:

Minimum 6 months in current position with good performance, attendance, safety, and teamwork.

• Assist and train Technicians, provide customer service, and give feedback on employee performance
• Oversee parts, inventory, reporting, warranty, unit tracking, payroll, and other duties as assigned
