Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Senior Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Billings, MT.

- Hourly Pay: $32.00 per hour
- Certification Bonus of $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained, up to $700
- Quarterly Bonus: Ryder pays up to $500 every quarter
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, weekends off
- Hours: Second shift 11:00 am – 7:00 pm

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational or technical certification preferred
- Basic tools required
- Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including:
- Routine preventive maintenance
- Basic diagnostics and repairs, including AC and electrical systems
- At least 3 years relevant work experience preferred
- Valid CDL Class A preferred
- Other certifications as required by location
- Minimum of 2 years experience with heavy-duty and medium-duty equipment repairs and diagnostics
- Knowledge of computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc.
- This position requires driving Ryder vehicles. To become a Ryder employee, you must:
- Obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
- Pass Ryder drug test
- Pass DOT physical
- Pass Ryder road test
- Pass background and motor vehicle checks, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years

Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs, including:
- Standard vehicle maintenance
- Preventive maintenance
- Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers
- Complete detailed inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
- Replace defective components as instructed
- Work independently on most tasks
- Perform facility maintenance duties
- Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
- Utilize shop management systems and electronic documentation
- Comply with all safety, DOT, and corporate guidelines
- Mentor Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels
- Access and use maintenance documents
- Support operations as needed, including service island support
- Complete SBT220 training within 180 days
- Complete OEM diagnostic courses as required
