Job summary

TravelCenters of America in Perrysburg, OH is seeking a Diesel Technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers. The role emphasizes safe, efficient service and adherence to company standards.

You will perform diagnostics, develop repair plans, and communicate them to the Service Advisor while maintaining a clean, safe workspace and promoting TA services during inspections.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with trade/school training or mechanic experience.
• Willingness to expand knowledge via education and training programs.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Flexibility for nights, weekends and some holidays.
• Own tools and maintain them.

Responsibilities

• Work in a friendly environment focused on exceptional service.
• Perform diagnostic testing, interpret results, and propose repair plans.
• Repair malfunctioning parts and mechanical/electrical equipment safely and efficiently.
• Keep a clean and safe work area.
• Suggest other TA services during inspections with customers.
