Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Diesel Technician to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy duty trucks and trailers in a fast-paced service environment.

You will perform diagnostics, develop repair plans, and communicate findings to the Service Advisor, while maintaining safety and quality standards. We offer benefits and growth opportunities within TA's nationwide network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; trade school or manufacturer’s tech training preferred.
• Willingness to expand knowledge through education and training programs.
• Ability to work unsupervised and flex hours includes nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy duty trucks and trailers.
• Perform diagnostic testing and interpret results; develop repair plan and communicate it to Service Advisor.
• Repair malfunctioning parts and electrical/mechanical equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and work with customers as needed.
