Responsible for diagnosing problems and performing minor to complex electrical/mechanical repairs on customer's equipment, including engines, drivetrain, steering, suspension, and brake systems.
Pay rates:
- Tech I: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
- Tech II: $32.00 - $37.00 per hour
- Tech III: $37.00 - $42.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment according to manufacturer's guidelines.
- Use diagnostic software and follow troubleshooting procedures.
- Coordinate with parts department to identify and order necessary parts.
- Perform mechanical repairs, including disassembly and rebuild, considering experience from any major OEM.
- Complete work orders and time sheets accurately and promptly, detailing labor operations.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Top pay is offered for experience with:
- Detroit Diesel or major heavy-duty OEM engine repair/rebuild
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED plus at least three years of related experience, or technical degree with certification in diesel repair.
- Complete set of basic hand tools, including torque wrenches and toolbox.
- Valid driver's license with a clean record; CDL is a plus.
Additional Skills & Requirements
- Electrical diagnostic skills, including multimeter use and schematic understanding.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with diagnostic tools.
- Experience with Adobe and Microsoft Office is helpful.
