Job description

Join to apply for the Diesel Shop Technician role at Stewart & Stevenson Power Products LLC - ADDA Division.

Responsibilities include diagnosing problems and performing electrical/mechanical repairs on equipment such as engines, drivetrain, steering, suspension, and brake systems.

Pay rates vary by experience: Tech I $27.00 - $32.00/hr, Tech II $32.00 - $37.00/hr, Tech III $37.00 - $42.00/hr.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform routine maintenance following manufacturer guidelines.
  2. Use diagnostic software and troubleshooting procedures.
  3. Work with parts department for ordering parts.
  4. Perform mechanical repairs, including disassembly and rebuild, from any major OEM.
  5. Complete work orders and timesheets accurately and promptly.
  6. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience with Detroit Diesel or other major heavy-duty OEM engines, Cummins ISB, ISM, ISX, and Cummins Insite.
  • High School Diploma or GED plus three years of related experience, or technical degree with certification.
  • Basic hand tools, valid driver’s license, CDL a plus.
Skills & Abilities
  • Electrical diagnostics, multimeter use, schematic understanding.
  • Computer skills, diagnostic tools proficiency, MS Office familiarity.
