JX Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician/Diesel Mechanic in Bloomington, IL to perform inspections, diagnostics, and maintenance on customer fleets. The role emphasizes accurate evaluations, safety compliance, and collaboration with the team to keep customers on the road.

The position offers a second shift (Mon-Fri, 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.) with a 15% shift differential for applicable hours, and a starting pay range shown as $30.76–$38.46 per hour, depending on experience.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• For entry level, some previous experience in automotive repair or heavy-duty truck maintenance is required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn required.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred, or ability to obtain.
• Dependable and reliable attendance required.
• For an experienced level, one must have completed a diesel-focused technical school program and 2+ years of experience in maintenance and repair of commercial trucks, including engine diagnostics.

Responsabilidades

• Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests to ensure accurate assessments of maintenance needs.
• Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards, adhering to regulatory obligations.
• Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, or parts, showcasing innovative problem-solving skills and techniques.
• Evaluates service and parts options to contain costs, demonstrating adaptability and resourcefulness in finding effective solutions.
• Controls corrosion and completes winterization procedures to prolong the lifespan of vehicles and ensure responsible use of resources.
• Maintains vehicle records by annotating services and repairs, facilitating transparency and accountability in customer interactions.
• Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by staying updated on regulations and standards through ongoing education and training.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring the safety and well-being of yourself, colleagues, and customers.
• Collaborate closely with team members and leadership to continuously cultivate positive experiences for our customers.
• Perform other dynamic duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business
