Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Five years of experience as a heavy-duty truck repair technician with an emphasis on engine repair.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English instructions and information.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License preferred and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Receives repair order assignments from Service Manager/Foreman.
• Follows instructions and executes work assignments in repair orders thoroughly and efficiently.
• Maintains superior standard of workmanship in all services performed.
• Advises Shop Foreman of any recommended changes in services ordered by the customer.
• Determines if any further repairs or servicing should be recommended to the customer and communicates such recommendations to the Shop Foreman.
• Maintains training and experience with specialized equipment and servicing techniques.
• Attends training sessions as required by the Service Manager.
• Maintains records of work performed and time clocked on jobs.
