Job summary

Kenworth Sales Co. in Elko, NV is seeking a Service Technician to perform high-quality repairs on customer equipment and recommend additional services as determined during work.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of experience in heavy truck repair, a strong mechanical aptitude, and a valid driver’s license. Responsibilities include following shop orders, maintaining quality workmanship, recording work details, and participating in required training.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience in medium/heavy truck repair and maintenance.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Self-motivated, reliable and well organized.
• Able to read, write and understand English instructions.

Responsibilities

• Receive repair orders from Shop Foreman and follow instructions.
• Perform repairs with high quality workmanship.
• Advise Shop Foreman of recommended changes in services.
• Determine if further repairs should be recommended and communicate them.
• Maintain accurate work order records and time clocked on jobs.
• Attend required training sessions.
