Rush Truck Centers in Texas is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to provide technical service to vehicles and equipment. You will perform general and detailed repairs on trucks and engines, oversee overhauls, and install components to keep fleets operating at peak performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets insurability guidelines.
• Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins certifications are preferred & rewarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Install various engine components and parts as needed.
• Read job orders to determine malfunction and plan procedures.
• Attend training classes and stay updated with factory bulletins.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase satisfaction.
