Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Diesel Service Apprentice/Mechanic to perform light maintenance under close supervision as the first training stage toward Service Technician status.

You will assist in heavy-duty truck repairs, attend training sessions, keep a neat work area, and perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor. This safety-sensitive, on-site role includes medical, dental, and life insurance, plus a 401(k) plan and PTO.

Qualifications

• Performs maintenance type work (i.e. preventive maintenance, pre-delivery inspections, light electrical repairs, etc.) under supervision.
• Assists Service Technician in heavy-duty truck repair.
• Attends training sessions to gain knowledge and experience.
• Maintains a neat and orderly work area and properly handles company tools.
• Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
